Show them EXACTLY how much sugar they are ingesting when they eat those Fruit Loops and cookies or drink that Gatorade and soda in this interactive, zero-prep, customizable Sweet Science Sugar Lab.
Your students will get hands-on experience converting grams of sugar from common foods and drinks into stackable sugar cubes. Students will have a FUN and eye-opening learning experience with this Google Slides drag & drop activity.
This Sweet Science Sugar Lab activity includes a total of 38 Google Slides:
- What is sugar? mini-lesson
- 10 interactive beverage slides
- 10 interactive food item slides
- 1 BLANK slide template so you have the ability to add/delete and customize slides
Each slide provides an opportunity to do the math (4 grams of sugar = 1 sugar cube) add the cubes and create a stackable pile for a visual representation of how much sugar is in that food or beverage.
