What educators are saying

Can't go wrong with whiteboard activities! Students love these whiteboard videos. Great way to get students practice their subitizing.
These were perfect for beginning of the year number sense review. My students love the 7 minute videos!

Description

*July 2022 this resource got a major update! It has been updated to include 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos for "Firework Subitizing". Not familiar with 7 Minute Whiteboard videos? Just give your students markers, boards and erasers, and the possibilities are endless! I have HUNDREDS of skills in my store. They are engaging and kids love them! Each video is approximately 7 minutes long making them perfect for transitions. If you need more time, play multiple videos. Your kids will approve!

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

This set includes:

Subitizing Dots on 1 Die - The students write the number of dots they see, but they have to watch quickly because the fireworks are fast! Click here to see an example of this video.

Subitizing Dots on 2 Dice - There are two dice in this firework show. Can you mentally add the number of dots in all? This has great audio and visuals to show kids the addition process. Click here to see an example of this video.

I plan on adding more videos with more dice. Be sure to follow my store to get the update notification.

*I have left the original PowerPoint that was created in 2013, but due to the animations, it will not play correctly in Google Slides. You will need PowerPoint to run it correctly. Here is the original product description:

This fun PowerPoint teaches kids to recognize the numbers on dice without counting the dots. An interactive menu lets you choose the speed you want to practice. There are three speeds for you to choose from. Choose "Ground Show" to click through with your kiddos. You will have time to count the numbers with them. When you choose "Enjoy the Show", fireworks burst automatically at a relaxed speed. "Finale" is a fun speed for kids who are up for a quick challenge. This number recognition skill is SO important to number sense.

This is a great file to pin to your desktop. You will have it handy anytime you have a few minutes to fill.
