This student Recorder Book is a 22-page PDF file for beginning soprano recorder instruction designed to be used in an Elementary Music Classroom. I created this book after needing a better sequenced recorder method that encourages music literacy.
This is a student book/workbook in sequential order that takes students from BAG using quarter and half note/rest rhythms to DEF#GABC’D’ using dotted quarter-eighth note rhythms, ties, and a pick-up. When new concepts are introduced in a song, the page will have the vocabulary word and its definition. I personally print the pages double-sided and staple it as a packet for my students.
Almost every page in this book has a place where students have a place to write including labeling the letter name on the treble clef staff, filling in the fingering chart, writing rhythm counts, and composing rhythmic compositions.
This Recorder Book PDF includes:
