Description
This is a job contract that I used with my middle school special education students for the jobs that they work around the school (custodian, work the school store, deliver mail to classrooms, etc.) during our Life Skills time. They applied for the jobs, and then I gave them this contract a few days later.
My students loved it because it felt like they were getting a real job! I find that it's very important to set expectations upfront for their behavior and work ethic, so the students know what they need to do to be successful. This also exposed them to the real-life experience of getting (and having to understand) a job contract and signing their name in cursive on a form.
This has worked out great for our school jobs, but it could also work well for classroom jobs with any type of job chart that you already have, or for homeschoolers with jobs around the house!
