What educators are saying

This was such a great activity. It aligned perfectly with the Leader in Me (7 Habits) work we do school wide. We made these and hung them from the ceiling in our hallway for Open House night. The kids were so excited!! The parents and other students/staff members loved them. Thank you!!
What a great way for students to create goals and plans of how to reach that goal. This makes such a cute display too!

Description

This 3D Hot Air Balloon student goal setting template is not only a fun writing and art activity for student goals, but also looks super cute hanging up in your classroom for Back to School goal setting or Open House projects! It would also be a great activity paired with a read loud or literacy lesson. Everyone will especially love the personal touch of the picture of each child "riding" in the basket!

This goal setting activity comes complete with a template for an outside color border of the hot air balloon, as well as the hot air balloon goal setting templates for students to write on and illustrate. You can choose from primary dotted writing lines, regular writing lines, or no lines to meet the needs of your students and grade level.

The 4 sides of the hot air balloon will showcase that your class is really “Going Places!” Each side of the balloon has a different heading:

  • My Goals… [Student example: “I want to be a better reader and score a goal on my soccer team.”]
  • When I Grow Up… [Student example: “When I grow up I want to be a chef.”]
  • How I’ll Get There… [Student example: “I will read every night before bed and listen to my coach at soccer practice. I am going to practice cooking with my mom.”
  • Blank Balloon [Students may draw & color an illustration of themselves achieving their goals.]

A materials list and easy step-by-step assembly guide with photos is included.

Teachers and students love this student goal setting template!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I loved this activity and so did my students.  My theme for the year was hot air balloons and this was an activity we did at the beginning of the year.  The students couldn't wait to take them home!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This is one of my favorite resources! We hung them up in our classroom and whenever teachers/parents/tours come through our room they always say how cool they are!! Students love seeing themselves in the baskets :)”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I love using this resource at the beginning of the year! I have used it for two classes now and both years it was really successful and engaging! We love having them hanging up around the classroom too. Thank you!”
