Striking with Paddles Unit Resource Pack
Included in the digital download:
- A Sample 3 Unit Plan: This plan is based off seeing kids once a week for 3 weeks, but can easily be modified with the additional activities included to create a longer plan if needed. Details, equipment needed, setup diagrams and relevant grade level outcomes are included for each lesson.
- Striking with Paddles Cues Posters: 2 different variations of posters displaying the cues I use for the unit and examples of forehand and backhand swings
- Striking with Paddles Station Activity Signs: 20 different fun and engaging station activities with custom illustrations and directions on each station sign
- Mini Tournament Scorecard: A simple scorecard I use during my "Mini-Tennis" tournament (the culminating lesson in the unit)
Striking with Paddles Follow the Leader Resource Pack
Included in this download:
- Follow the Leader Videos:
- Basic: 5 minute follow along video taking students through basic paddle skills progressions using a lollipop paddle
- Advanced: 5 minute follow along video taking students through more advanced paddle skills progressions using a plastic waffle paddle
- Animated GIF Slideshow:
- A powerpoint slideshow that is ready to present with one Animated GIF slide per page showing a ton of different paddle skills progressions for both Basic skills (which I use for K-2nd) and Advanced Skills (which I use for 3-5th)
- The slideshow also has slides with multiple GIFS per slide that can be used as a self paced warmup or instant activity
- The slideshow is set up exactly how I use it for my Unit, but you can of course edit or modify it as you see fit to make it work for you
