Strega Nona Mini-Unit

My students love Tomie daPaola's character Strega Nona. Earlier this year when we went on a field trip to see the play of the book Strega Nona, I knew my students would LOVE participating in a Strega Nona literacy unit before heading to the play.

This 30-page unit includes abc-order work, creative writing, graphing, character analysis/point-of-view, a super fun "go fish" type summary game, and a fillable math game that you can customize to meet your students' needs.

My 1st/2nd grade class LOVED the activities in this unit and I'm sure you're lower elementary kiddos will too! This could also be a wonderful starting place for a guided reading group or a perfect set of emergency sub plans!
