Stranger Things Short Playscripts in English

Short Stranger Things playscripts in English perfect for reader's theater, short plays, and drama instruction. Practicing reader’s playscripts is a fun way to build reading fluency! When the scripts play out stories known by students this practice becomes interdisciplinary combining reading fluency, vocabulary, literature, public speaking, and fun.

The scripts are simple and most appropriate for 4th-6th grade students, depending on reading level and ability. They are ready to be printed and use right away!

Teaching Tips:

• Begin by familiarizing the class with the characters & unknown vocabulary.

•To build fluency speed, have students pre-read their scripts silently several times. (To build fluency with improved expression, begin to practice out loud.)

• I like to have them practice reading through it several times and then perform it for a group of classroom visitors (a buddy class or administration)

• Reader’s theater can be made into a costumed, staged performance or kept simple with students sitting on chairs in front of the class. Do what works best for your schedule!
