Description

Teaching story elements to your kindergarten and first graders is vital to building a child's reading toolbox in order for them to grow into a successful reader. Parts of a fiction story (such as the ones in this pack) not only help with reading, but with writing too! This unit focuses on character, setting, problem, solution, plot, point of view, and lesson.

Included:

-Story Elements lettering for bulletin board display (black lettering to print onto colored paper)

-Two packet/notebook cover options- "Fiction Notebook" and "Story Elements Notebook"

-Elements included: characters (main character and characters), setting, problem, solution, plot, point of view, and lesson

For each story element:

-Poster with definition, notebook page for definition/class example/their example of the element, skill identification organizer for independent reading time

-Some elements have added bonus organizers- such as- retell, draw the setting, drawing comprehension and more!
