Description
This is a set of 6 Latin stories I wrote for my Latin 1 students. They are stories from Greco-Roman mythology, in simple Latin suitable for novice readers, with lots of vocabulary support and ample illustrations.
The vocabulary focuses on animal words, family terms, and high-frequency verbs (like est, habet, and vult). Mostly third person singular present tense verbs.
Each story comes with vocabulary support and comprehension questions to check for understanding. Please note that stories that have an illustrated powerpoint of the story ALSO come with the student packet with cover image, vocab page, the text, and comprehension questions.
- Story 1: Deī Mortālēsque et Dēliciae Eōrum (Gods, Mortals, and Their Pets)
- Story 2: Iuppiter et Iūnō (Jupiter and Juno)
- Story 3: Saturnus, Pater Horribilis (Saturn, A Horrible Father)
- Story 4: Iuppiter Saturnum Superat (Jupiter Defeats Saturn)
- Story 5: Io Pars Prima (Io Part 1)
- Story 6: Io Pars Secunda (Io Part 2)
