Description
This activity promotes critical and divergent thinking as students dive deeper into homonyms/multiple meaning words.
Students are given a story/riddle that has a multiple meaning word embedded into the text. They must use inferencing skills to draw a conclusion and solve the riddle.
The riddles were adapted from Nathan Levy’s, “Story With Holes”. You can implement this engaging activity in a whole group setting or as an early finisher task.
