Stop Motion Animation Commercial Project
This project is a ready to print step-by-step guide that allows students to create a Stop Motion Animation commercial as a cumulative task within a media literacy unit. This project is designed for students who are brand new to stop motion animation and film creation. Students will develop their own Stop Motion Animation commercial using the StikBot Studios app, a free app that can be downloaded to most devices. This assignment walks students through each aspect of the planning process and includes two rubrics (planning and movie production) for assessment.
This project is designed to be a cumulative task. The product also includes a 'How To Use' guide for teachers including teaching suggestions, definitions, and YouTube links to further explain the main ideas for you and your students prior to beginning this project. This project will be a BIG hit in your classroom as it allows students to integrate their own creativity and technology to meet media literacy curriculum expectations.
This assignment requires the free download of the StikBot Studios app - students can easily download this free app onto most devices (tablets, phones, etc).
