Steps for Solving Word Problems and Key Words for Addition and Subtraction

This is an easy to read poster that includes steps for solving word problems: read and underline the question, box key words, circle important numbers. Cross out unneeded numbers, solve (with strategies), show all your work, check with another strategy.

It also includes key words to look for when reading addition word problems as well as key words for subtraction word problems.

This is a great poster to hang in your room and also to make copies to give to your students to put in their math journals!
