Standard and Expanded Notation Build a Number (Promethean Flipchart)

Help students develop conceptual place value understanding with this interactive lesson. Start by choosing a hundreds card for the hundreds space, a tens card for the tens space, and a ones card for the ones space. This shows students the expanded notation representation. Then move each card up to the standard notation area, lining up the arrows. Students can see each card separately and stacked up to show the same number in two different ways.
