Description

This coordinate graphing picture will engage students in solving one-step equations involving integers for St. Patty's Day!

Students love mystery graphs… but this one has a twist! First, students must solve equations to reveal their ordered pairs. Then, they graph the ordered pairs on a coordinate plane and the image of a 4-leaf clover appears.

Equations include adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and square roots. Solutions are integers.

Coloring is optional, and these make great classroom decorations around St. Patrick’s Day.

This activity will help students spot their own mistakes as they create the picture. An answer key is included.
