St. Patrick's Day - Create a City, 3-D Art Activity, March Art Project - Design
Kids will LOVE this activity - they get to design and create their own Leprechaun City. There are St. Patrick's themed businesses and small leprechauns and accessories to use.
The buildings and characters actually stand up - just fold the little flap on the bottom of each piece and glue it down to the base paper.
Kids can use the planning sheets to outline and design their city. Then they can create it using the buildings and pieces provided. The project can be glued onto a large piece of construction paper. Finally, they can write about the different elements of their City!
Planning Pages:
There are 3 pages where kids can write and draw about the plan and design they have for their city.
The Buildings:
Each child can choose the buildings they want to use! They can use the buildings with details or use the outlines and add their own designs.
Buildings included are: 2 house styles, an apartment building, a post office, a school, a gas station, a library and a grocery store. The buildings with just an outline can be turned into any other business that kids want to add!
The Roads:
Kids can use the roads included, or design and draw their own directly on the construction paper base.
Fun Extras:
Also included are several shamrocks, a rainbow, a pot of gold, 2 boy and 2 girl leprechauns.
Writing Pages:
After the city is designed and built, kids can write about each part of the project. There are 2 lines styles included: primary writing lines for younger students and single lines for older kids.
A fun engaging project with easy teacher prep!
