This resource contains a standards-based unit in printable PDF. Students will be reviewing how to solve word problems with equations and multi-step word problems and creating their own to complete a game board!

Standards Addressed:

• 4.OA.A.2 Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem, distinguishing multiplicative comparison from additive comparison.
• 4.OA.A.3 Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.

⭐ This 4th and 5th grade St. Patrick's Day reading comprehension escape room is a truly immersive experience. Students read passages and answer skill-based questions to make like a leprechaun and fill their closet with green garments. In this escape room, students are asked to complete four unique challenges. Each challenge requires students to read passages and answer multiple choice questions.
