With the addition option, your kids will color shamrocks two different colors. Then they will fill in the word problem to show how many shamrocks there are in all.
With the subtraction option, your kids will put some shamrocks IN the hat and some OUT of the hat. Then they will fill in the word problem to show how many shamrocks are still in the hat.
