Spring Write-the-Room Activity + Fast Finishers!

Write the room is an engaging and effective activity that can be used with early and emerging writers. You may choose to use it as a literacy center, whole-class activity, fast finisher, and more! Students will be engaged as they move around the room hunting for Spring-themed words and writing them down on their recording sheets.

As a teacher I personally LOVE that this one simple activity reinforces letter recognition and formation, spacing, capitalization, reading, writing, vocabulary building, theme study, and more! And it requires very little prep! Win win! To prepare this activity simple print, cut, laminate, and post the cards around the room. Give each student a recording sheet and send them off to find and record the words. I’ve also included several related activities (writing prompt, word search, coloring page) that your kids can do as soon as they finish!
