Description

Enjoy this fun music lesson that incorporates singing, rhythm (eighth notes), melody (sol mi, sol mi la, or do mi sol la), instruments, improvisation and form while addressing your music curriculum. "What do you see" is a perfect addition to your Orff lessons and Kodaly lessons.

The resource is included in a bundle Spring Music Lessons and Activities for Elementary Music {Bundle}. Click on the product link for additional details. Consider purchasing the bundle to save money!

Use the song with your elementary music students anytime! Reading and playing rhythmic patterns consisting of quarter notes, quarter rests and 2 eighth notes beamed is addressed. Since the song has phrases of sol mi, sol mi la or do mi sol la there are lessons that will review reading the notes on the staff that correspond to the concepts you are currently addressing. Your students will love the engaging activities included in the lesson plan and the visuals.

The set of Lesson Plans and interactive slides include:

• 5 lessons each 5-15 minutes (4 pdf pages) plus an original song with Orff orchestration and an adapted speech ensemble. The lesson plans include detailed instructions for teaching the song, rhythmic activities, melodic activities, improvisation and instruments with first, second or third grade. Adaptions and extensions are addressed.

• 49 slides (with 29 slides being teacher and/or student interactive) may be used to reinforce rhythmic and melodic reading and identification. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons.

It is an excellent piece to address curricular concepts while enjoying making music with or without the Orff orchestration.

If you would like to extend the lesson check out Spring Music | Solfege Sol Mi La Interactive Melody Game {Where's My Nest} and Spring Music | Eighth Notes Interactive Rhythm Game {Where's My Nest}.

The resource was designed to be projected onto your SmartBoard, Promethian, Mimio or Interactive Whiteboard and will run on PC's, Mac's, Chromebooks and tablets using a "link" that will open via your default internet browser.
