Spring Idioms

Included:
One large board game (3 pages), “Growing Spring Idioms.” Use with included people or your own game pieces. When a student correctly matches the idiom to its definition, s/he can move up a leaf. This game can also be used with included poke cards (multiple choice questions) as well. When a student chooses the correct answer, s/he can move up a leaf on the board. To assemble, print board, cut out the white frame on the short end of the pages. glue pages together, and laminate.
24 idiom cards with matching definition cards (umbrella/raindrop cards): Use as a matching game, memory game, or Go Fish. Match the idiom to its definition.
Poke cards: Multiple choice flower cards. See assembly instructions and diagram on page 15. When given the definition of an idiom, a student needs to choose the correct idiom out of a choice of three idioms.
Blank cards to add your own idioms
Graphic organizer where students identify the literal meaning, formulate a sentence containing the idiom, and draw a picture of the figurative meaning.
