Sports and Entertainment Marketing Press Conference Project

Students will play the role of college athletic director, coach, and athletes or general manager, coach, and professional athlete in this press conference project that allows for student choice in scenario and script creation. Students will select an athletic or event scenario, create a script and a press kit, press conference name tents, a press conference backdrop, and assign speaking roles. At the conclusion of the project, students will act out their press conference in class. The teacher plays the role of the press conference moderator, and the rest of the class plays the part of media members by asking follow up questions to interact with the press conference panel.
