What educators are saying

Some of my male students used this to research sports played in Italy. It helped them organize their information in an easy to read format.

Description

This sports graphic organizer template is perfect for research reports and can be used with ANY sport. It helps your students keep their information organized and focused on the most important aspects of the sport they're researching. The activities can serve as a note-taking tool for an essay or presentation, or they can search as the research project itself. Sports are an easy way to integrate literacy and an engaging topic that your students will love.

Each 2-page graphic organizer has space for the following information:

  • Picture (color uniform and equipment used)
  • Fast facts (invention, playing surface, leagues, competitions, and famous athletes)
  • Brief history of the sport
  • Qualities that make an athlete successful in the sport
  • Where it was invented and is most popular today (mapping component)
  • Players and positions
  • Basic rules
  • How points are scored
  • How the game is won
  • Fun facts
  • Resources where you can learn more
