Sports Medicine Scenario Weekly Bellwork (Case Study) Assignment
What educators are saying
Description
I developed this case study assignment as a way to incorporate literacy into my sports medicine classroom and provide students with the opportunity to consider how they would respond to these real world scenarios. We work through one scenario per week, answering a question per day as “bellwork.” They are not numbered, because I will choose which scenario we discuss for the week to align with the topic we are currently discussing. My students create an interactive notebook throughout my course, so they will have the scenario (to annotate) and the questions side by side each week to reference.
I want to make it clear that this is a high-school appropriate adaptation of a resource meant for a secondary classroom. I did not write the scenarios myself, but I did create age-appropriate questions and the worksheet that they are formatted on. You can find the original secondary school resource here. It includes questions and extension activities, but I’ve found that they can be too advanced for my students. It’s free and ready to use if you find that it will work well for your students!
To accompany my worksheets, I’ve reformatted the original scenarios so that they fit cleanly on one page. Purchasing this product, you will receive the question worksheets only - but if you are interested in the reformatted scenarios, email me at brittanypooleatc@outlook.com and I’ll be happy to email them to you. I am uncomfortable including them with this download as I did not write the scenarios myself.
