Spoons Acvivity - Classroom Community and Leadership

Want to build classroom community while teaching about mental health? This is the perfect lesson for you! Easy to follow instructions and kinetic learning. Students may be of any age (adult learner-friendly).

Spoon's theory is that we only have so much mental and physical energy every day. To quantify this energy we visualize the energy units as spoons. This activity walks students through a hands-on learning lesson where each group must create a daily agenda for an imaginary person. Students will see how healthy/poor mental health practices affect energy levels, how to collaborate as a team, handle unexpected life events, and share their thoughts.
