Spooky Sentences - Silly Sentences Writing Center - Halloween October

Your students will have a blast using this Spooky Sentences writing center. It is the perfect way to help your students learn about sentence structure and exposes them to quality sentences filled with nouns, adjectives and verbs. To complete the activity, students match the color-coded cards to the boxes on the mats to build a spooky (and silly) sentence that will have them giggling! They can rewrite the sentence on the recording sheets included or in their workbooks.

There are 72 picture cards included which works out to over 12, 000 different sentence possibilities! The packet includes both full-color mats and ink-friendly mats for you to choose from.

PLUS! There are so many different ways you can extend this activity. After students have written out the sentences they have made, ask them to highlight the adjectives, verbs and nouns in different colors. You could also get them to change the adjective or verb in each sentence to create a whole different meaning to the sentence.
