Description

These elementary school summer speech and language therapy homework worksheets are a no prep print and go resource for students in 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. These no prep pages are a great resource for ESY, summer therapy, or to send home as reinforcement practice. This homework packet includes the following expressive and receptive language goals as well as speech sound articulation goals:

Activities include the following:

  • Synonyms (expressive and receptive)- Practice generating synonyms for target words and matching synonym pairs.

  • Antonyms (expressive and receptive)- Practice generating opposites for target words and matching antonym pairs.

  • Adjectives (expressive and receptive)- Practice identifying adjectives to describe a noun in a field of 3 and writing two adjectives to describe a pictured noun.

  • Following Directions- practice 2 step directions with spatial, temporal, and sequential, and basic concepts.

  • Irregular past tense verbs- Practice changing irregular nouns from present to past tense in cloze-sentences and with fill-in answers.

  • Irregular plural nouns- Practice changing singular nouns to their irregular plural form.

  • Categories- Practice which words do not belong in a category in a field of 4 and listing items that belong in a stated category.

  • Compare and contrast- Compare and contrast worksheet and with a Venn Diagram.

  • Multiple meaning words (expressive and receptive)- Write two definitions for multiple meaning words and sort definitions and vocabulary into multiple meaning word charts.

  • Inference questions - answer inferential questions following short scenarios.

  • Listening comprehension- Listen to short stories and answer who, what, when, where, and why questions following.

  • Speech Sound Articulation: Practice the following phonemes in the initial, medial, and final positions of summer themed vocabulary words: /k/ and /g/, /s/ and /z/, /f/ and /v/, /l/, /r/, TH, blends, SH, CH, and J
