Description

This behavior intervention plan acts as a blueprint for how to respond to student's maladaptive behavior from talking out, leaving their seats, breaking pencils, engaging in verbal outburst, engaging in classroom property destruction, or physical aggression towards peers or staff in the special education classroom.

The behavior intervention plan progresses from least intrusive/surface management techniques all the way to most intrusive and the use of a CPI restraint if a student is engaging in repeated physical aggression. I wrote this plan for myself and my 3 paraprofessionals to follow and it is rooted in principals of ABA, positive reinforcement, and strategies I have learned from CPI and ProAct training. I believe it is important that each staff member knows exactly what to do during severe behavioral outbursts in order to keep everyone safe and using this plan can help you stay on the proactive side of classroom management.

It is fully editable so feel free to modify it for your special education classroom and the needs of your staff and students! :)
