What educators are saying

I used this webquest as a sub plan during our family unit in Spanish 1. This webquest has clear instructions and was easy for students to complete independently. It is a great way to provide more context for the vocabulary we learned in class.
This is a great way to include some Spanish culture and government into your class. It can also be used as a sup plan assignment. Thanks!

Description

This webquest has questions (all in English) that are designed for students who already know la familia vocabulary and it shows them a real application to their new vocabulary. They most likely don't know Spain even has a royal family! Questions also include elements of government (what it means to have a constitutional monarchy), history (how Spain lost and then re-gained their royal family), and art (Las Meninas by Velazquez). Extension suggestions are provided. This lesson was originally designed for Spanish 1 8th graders, so the reading and questions are easy. An answer key is included. There are both paper and digital Google Slides versions.
