What educators are saying
My Spanish 2 students struggled with irregular verbs and this chart with the verbs and this was fabulous!
Any practice for irregular preterit is good! I use lots of different ways to review the concept and my student enjoy them all. These sheets are really helpful for them!
Description
This worksheet starts by asking students to fully conjugate the following verbs in the preterite tense: poder, tener, poner, hacer, decir, venir, traer, ir, ser, and estar. The chart, once filled in, can serve as a reference point for students as they complete the rest of the worksheet.
Next, there is a set of 15 sentences that use the verbs in context, asking students to conjugate them in the appropriate form. The verbs are given to the students in this section.
The final section consists of 15 more sentences, but this time students have to choose which verb makes the most sense, THEN conjugate it. Up above this section are some helpful hints for figuring out which verb to use (for example, if the blank is followed by a location, it's probably "ir").
