Description

This product is in SPANISH.
(Please visit my store for the English version.)

*** This is a great product for students to use as a guide to help them form higher level critical thinking questions based on Bloom's Taxonomy.

It also gives students an opportunity to choose from a variety of activities in each of the following: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, and creating. Each activity page also has recommended computer sites and resources that students can use to present in their work.

Product includes the following:

4 - 8 1/2 x 11 pages of Question Stems using the characters of: Robot (remembering); Detective (understanding); Judge (Applying and Analyzing); and Inventor (Creating). These can be used as handouts or mounted on card stock and displayed on the wall.

4 - Colored tags citing the character name and higher level thinking function. These can be displayed on the class wall as well.

1 - 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of all the questions stems fitted onto one sheet. This can be used as a student handout which they can reference when working collaboratively to formulate questions during the reading.

1 - 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with only the 4 character names. Students can use this to write their own questions down during the reading.

(Suggestion: I have my class divided into teams of 4. Each team comes up with questions for each of the characters during the reading. They then pick one question from each character box and write it on a Post-It note. Teams trade their Post-It questions with another group. The new group must use textual evidence to answer the 4 new questions they have received. Groups present final answers to the class.)

5 - 8 1/2 x 11 sheets that contain suggested activities for each of the higher level thinking skills. These suggestions could be used as a springboard to generate ideas for activities in each of the domains. At the bottom of each sheet are computer resources and internet searches that students can use to help develop their individual or group work.
