~A simple Spanish reading including over 30 Spanish English cognates for beginner students to learn to recognize them. The story talks about a brother and sister and a typical day they spend at school. The reading includes a glossary of more difficult vocabulary
~The same reading but with the cognates highlighted for context.
~A worksheet with three parts:
a. Students must give the English equivalent of eight Spanish cognates.
b. Students must answer 8 True/False questions based on the reading.
c. Students must complete 10 sentences with the cognates from the story.
~The same worksheet with the instructions in Spanish and in which the students must give the English version of the cognates for differentiation.
