Description

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year with your Spanish language class using these NO PREP printables!

RESOURCE INCLUDES

1. Sopa de Letras (Word Search Puzzles)

Level 1: Find the Vocabulary

Level 2: Translate and Find

2. Crucigrama (Crossword Puzzle)

Students will read the clues in English and write the Spanish words in the puzzle.

3. Scrambled Words

4. Vocabulary Review with Spanish Idiom (Level 1)

In this worksheet students will discover the hidden Spanish idiom by identifying different general vocabulary words from different categories (i.e. clothing, numbers, colors, furniture, weather, job titles, fruit, and months of the year.) After identifying the words according to their categories, the students will then follow the directions and color them accordingly. If students do not have crayons or colored pencils they can simply cross out the words instead. The blocks that remain will reveal the Spanish idiom “Le echa mucha crema a sus tacos.” In English this means, “Someone is conceited. Someone thinks too highly of him or herself.” Next, students will discuss the meaning of this idiom with their teacher.

5. Repaso de Gramática con un Modismo (Level 2)

In this worksheet students will discover the hidden Spanish idiom by identifying different parts of speech (i.e. pronombres sustantivos, verbos regulares del pasado, adjetivos masculinos, verbos del futuro, artículos indefinidos, preposiciones, verbos regulares del pasado, y verbos irregulares del presente.) After identifying the words according to their parts of speech, the students will then follow the directions and color them accordingly.

6. Anagram

Students will make as many Spanish words as they can from the sentence “Celebramos Cinco de Mayo”.
