Como decir su edad en español - ejercicios

(Worksheets to help students learn how to talk about age in Spanish using the verb TENER)

Chart 1: A chart explaining how to say someone's age in Spanish. It includes set phrases using tener, common questions to ask someone's age, some additional rules and a "Be Careful" section placing emphasis on using Tener and not Ser or Estar.

Chart 2: Simple dialogues with cartoon characters asking someone's age and the other person responding.

Chart 3: The same chart with cartoon characters as above though with parts of the dialogue missing. This can be used as a worksheet where students need to complete the blanks.

Worksheet 1: A list of questions such as "¿Cuántos años tiene Marianela? (23)" which students need to answer in Spanish (e.g. Marianela tiene veintitrés años).

Worksheet 2: A simple short passage about Pablo and the members of his family (and the age of each one). Students need to answer the comprehension questions under the text.

Worksheet 3: A activity to practice some numbers up to 100. There are balloons with numbers on the left. Students need to draw a line between the balloon and its corresponding number written as words. The numbers that appear are 15, 80, 29, 53, 12, 67, 76, 11, 48, 35, 94.

Worksheet 4: A worksheet with 9 cakes. Under each cake there is a sentence such as "Pablo tiene seis años". Students need to draw the correct number of candles on the cake according to what is written under it.

Worksheet 5: There are seven cartoon characters with a noun and number next to them. Students need to write the age of each one in full sentences by following the example given.

Worksheet 6: There are 8 cartoon characters. Students need to find out the name of each person according to the ages given.

These worksheets can be completed in any order.

We have included answers for the teachers.

IMPORTANT: All information on the worksheets, including the instructions, are 100% in Spanish making them ideal for Dual language immersion classes. Only the first Age in Spanish explanation chart appears in English.

The charts are ideal for students to use as a reference guide. Have them cut them out and paste them into their books.
