Three Kings' Day Webquest - ENGLISH Version
In the first interview activity, each student receives a card from the "12 Days of Christmas" song (e.g., five golden rings) and interviews classmates asking, "Que tienes para la Navidad?" Students then practice writing sentences with different forms of "tener" and ordinal numbers.
In the second activity, students practice the simple future (ir + a + infinitive) to talk about what is going to happen in the New Year. They create sentences with the given goals (mostly school-related), complete a matching activity, and draw their favorite goal.
In the third activity, students receive a card that has a typical teenage Christmas present. Students interview classmates asking, "Que quieres para la Navidad?" Students use different forms of "querer" to write new sentences and compare gifts.
Finally, in the fourth activity, students research Three Kings Day by completing a two page webquest. Two websites are provided for students as they discover the meaning behind Three Kings Day, how it is similar to the Santa Claus traditions, and more!
Each of the activities have an answer key if applicable.
