This purchase is a great addition to any unit focusing on Space & Planets and works perfectly for homework or extra credit.
Students are provided an information sheet on two separate NASA inventions (SOHO - to study the sun and NEAR - to study asteroids). They will then use the information sheets to complete an 18-question worksheet. The assignment stresses: seek and find questions, beyond the text, key vocabulary and comparing and contrasting (via a Venn Diagram).
The information sheet can also be used for future projects or writing assignments. I have included an example for a Power Point Rubric that I often have students work on using the two spacecraft information sheets. It's an easy way to do a computer project in a short amount of time since the research is already provided.
All papers are provided as MS-Word documents to allow you to modify as needed to fit the needs of your students.
