Description
This colorful, interactive 23-slide Promethean flipchart helps introduce students to the countries of Southern Asia. The flipchart covers British colonialism in India (and India's quest for independence), as well as the cultures, governments, and economies of the southern Asian countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India. Vocabulary reviews are also included, as well as a variety of H.O.T. (higher order thinking) discussion questions. This flipchart was originally created for use in a 6th grade social studies classroom and follows Chapter 21 of the Houghton Mifflin textbook, "Social Studies: World Cultures and Geography".
