Soundtrack of My Life/Poetry Project/Back to School Project
My students love exploring music as poetry! In this activity, students are able to share their interests and influences in their life in a fun and engaging way! This project is a great way for students to analyze the elements of music as poetry and apply their understanding through songs they love.
Students will be asked to:
- Create a 3 song playlist of songs that represent themselves
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of their chosen songs
- Complete written Liner Notes pages to emphasize and explain why they chose their songs and their relationship to them and their unique personality and life
- Complete a Dedication Page explaining student influences in their lives
- Create and illustrate a cover album to express their unique personality and life in relation to their musical choices
