What educators are saying

I love this resource with real life pictures. I currently use this product in the individual file folder format.
This is exactly what I needed, the smaller size choice was perfect for a classroom with limited wall space.

Description

Use these real photos to set up a Vowel Valley and Consonant or Sound Wall based on the Science of Reading in your classroom! Sound Walls help students learn to read and write based on the 44 phonemes in the English language. Students focus on the sound and refer to the display to remember how the sound can be spelled.

Deedee Wills and I collaborated on a Sound Wall together that includes 240 Orthographically Mapped Sight Words! Head here to grab that resource!

In this resource, you will find photo instructions from my classroom. I spent a year developing this based on student feedback and extensive research about the Science of Reading. In this resource, you will find a link to also receive free teacher tips and individual sound walls!

This resource includes:

  • Beautiful & Detailed Photo Set-Up Instructions
  • Display Word Posters for Vowel Valley and the (Consonant) Sound Wall
  • Helpful Photo Reference Sheets
  • 44 Phoneme Cards
  • Mouth Articulation Photos of Real Mouths
  • Voiced/ Unvoiced Partner Labels
  • Organization Labels for all 44 Phonemes
  • Sound Spelling Cards to be added gradually as you TEACH each sound!
  • Alternate Sound Spelling Cards
  • 2 versions are included so you can choose if you want a pocket-chart sized wall or a larger wall!
  • Link to FREE Individual Sound Walls for your students
  • Link to FREE keyring of Teacher Tips to reference as needed
