Sorting for Fall Smart Board™ Activity

Ah, Fall! This is a Fall or Autumn sorting activity for the Smart Board™. It is suitable for primary grades (Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade, mostly). Sorting items into categories is a basic math skill. Students use the interactive whiteboard to sort fall (or autumn) items into two labeled bushel baskets. A gentle “ping” sounds if they are correct. It could also be useful for children with autism, as it does not have any distracting bells and whistles.

There are 13 pages, covering 9 sorting activities.

Among the items to be sorted:

• leaves
• apples
• scarecrows
• soccer balls
• pumpkins
• corn
• squirrels
• chickens
• mums (fall flowers)

**This is a file designed for the SMART (brand) Smart Board (not Mimio, Promethean, or ActivInspire). You need to have Smart Notebook software version 11 or later in order for it to work.**
