What educators are saying

This unit is colorful and there are plenty of images to help out students that are having a harder time in English. This unit is complete and you should absolutely get it!
My students were learning about farm to table (PK) and real and not real things (K) and they absolutely loved this activity.

Description

This activity is intended to help children learn about the different names of healthy food and then sort them into either fruits or vegetables. Great activity for farm or farmers' market themed centers, preschool activities, or homeschool! This file also comes with the material needed to create your very own Farmers' Market bag! This can encourage dramatic play while learning about these healthy food groups!

In this file:

  • 9 different vegetables: pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, eggplant, beet, carrot potato, lettuce
  • 9 different fruits: apple, pear, plum, peach, watermelon, banana, strawberry, orange, lemon
  • Fruit basket (front and back)
  • Vegetable basket (front and back)
  • Farmers' Market Bag (needs to be printed and assembled)
  • Farmers' Market logo (can clue this logo to a brown paper bag for an easier option than making the one that is provided.)
  • Only the Farmers' Market bag comes in both color and black & white.
  • All fruits and vegetables come in color.

NOTE: There is a PRVIEW available. Please, take a look and see if this activity is a good fit for your classroom!
