Solving Equations Calendar Project
This is a wonderful assessment that my kids LOVED doing. I used it instead of a standard test, and my results were much better! For this project, students are to choose a month of the year, and create an equations calendar for that month. They must come up with an equation (at least 5 one step, 10 two step with variables on one side, and 10 with variables on both sides) so that the solution is the day of the month.
This purchase comes with directions and guidelines for your students, a grading rubric for you, examples of how to create the problems, and a few student samples. I'm certain your students will enjoy this much more than a typical test!
