What educators are saying
I got this resource in 2016 and have been using it every year in my kindergarten class!! I had just realized that I didn't leave a review! It is a fun and engaging book to help students learn their solid shapes!!
Very helpful activity to do with students. They enjoyed this activity and was able to take it back to show their teachers/parents and talk about what they had learned.
Description
**Solid Shapes Kindergarten Emergent Reader- 3-d shapes and color words**
This emergent reader little book is a great way to practice recognizing solid shapes (3-d shapes) and reading color words. It would be great to use for browsing boxes, independent reading, guided reading groups, or Read to Self.
The text of this book follows a predictable pattern: Red cone, red cone, what do you see?
I see a blue cube looking at me.
This story features the following solid shapes: cone, cube, cylinder, sphere, pyramid, and rectangular prism. It also features the following color words: red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and purple. It also includes the sight words: what, do, you, see, I, a, an, looking, at and me.
This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
