April 8, 2024 is almost here, and your teacher life just got a little busier with total solar eclipse activities you need to plan. Celebrate and learn more about the Great North American Total Solar Eclipse with my SOLAR ECLIPSE 2024 ACTIVITIES | Total Solar Eclipse QR Code Scavenger Hunt! This ready-to-go Total Solar Eclipse 2024 activity is just what you need to keep your 3rd through 6th-grade students engaged and excited for learning during this rare event.

Materials:

Total Solar Eclipse 2024 questions worksheet

20 Great American Total Solar Eclipse 2024 QR Code cards

Great North American Solar Eclipse 2024 Certificates and Brag Tags

Tape and scissors

iPads or tablets

Preparation:

Print the 20 Total Solar Eclipse 2024 QR Code cards on card stock. Make copies of the April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse QR Code Cards questions worksheet (2-sided). Each student will need his or her own copy. Tape the 20 Great American Eclipse QR Code cards around your classroom where students will be able to find them and scan the QR code with their iPads or tablets. You can put the Great North American Solar Eclipse QR Code cards on the back of your classroom door, on the student desks, on the chalkboard, or wherever you like.

Activity:

Students receive a copy of the question worksheet. They have to go around the room with their iPads or tablets and scan all the Total Solar Eclipse 2024 QR Code cards to answer the questions. After they have completed the question sheet, you can go over the answers together with the class.

Management tips:

You may want to make this a silent activity so students don't share answers with each other. You can have the kids work alone or with a classmate. Don't be afraid to hide the Total Solar Eclipse 2024 QR Code cards in tough places. Students think it's more fun when they have to search around a little.

Have a plan for early finishers. You may want to have a task for them to complete when they're done, or you may have them help other students find the answers to the questions. You can reward your students with the Total Solar Eclipse 2024 Certificates and/or Total Solar Eclipse 2024 Brag Tags included!
