Description
Soft Start is exactly what it is called: a soft start to the school day. But it is not just an easy transition from home to school. It is an intentional time for students to develop 21st century skills through PLAY! This resources is designed for Upper Elementary Students in Grade 3-7.
Here is a bit of the rationale:
There is little doubt that this latest trend in education is something that students are desperately in need of. In this day and age, I look at my 10 year old students and think that they have lived their entire life with the existence of smart phones and tablets.
The research is only starting to come forward showing the detrimental effects of these devices and the increased amount of time children are spending in front of screens. As teachers, we are on the forefront of this epidemic and our students have been showing much different needs than they were even as little as 10 years ago.
The goal of this product is to show you an engaging and simple way to give your students what they need to develop to curb the current trends we are seeing from kids. More information on this theory and how this product was developed.
