This relates to the Unit on Social Structure and the PowerPoint that I created [link below under resources]. The PowerPoint is divided into FIVE TOPICS, and this is related to TOPIC #1. 

1. Topic 1: BUILDING BLOCKS OF SOCIAL STRUCTURE: Status, Roles, Role performance vs. expectations, and social institutions 

2. Topic 2: TYPES OF SOCIAL INTERACTION: conflict, exchange, competition, cooperation, and accommodation 

3. Topic 3:TYPES OF SOCIETIES: Pre-industrial, Industrial, and post-industrial societies 

4. Topic 4:GROUPS WITHIN SOCIETY: defining group, features of groups, and all the different types of groups 

5. Topic 5:STRUCTURE OF FORMAL ORGANIZATIONS: formal organizations, advantages, and flaws of bureaucracies 

This worksheet is a practice worksheet where students can take what they have learned about status and roles and apply it themselves. 

I do this after they have already completed the Building Blocks of Social Structure Guided Notes as a way to check for student understanding.
