    Each of these flexible products includes:

    • instructions to set up, prepare and run this activity in your classroom (or Google Classroom) any time during the school year
    • instructions on how to use this activity as part of an overall English Language Arts program while building student independence (freeing you up to teach small groups or individual students while they work)
    • mini lessons for each of the skills which are recommended for the first time each skill is introduced
    • student pages: paper and digital Google Slides versions are included so you can complete these activities in the classroom or online whether you are teaching in person or using these activities for online learning.

    *The reading level of this package was designed for Grade 5 independent reading level and is intended for students who are generally reading at grade level. This would depend on the reading program your school uses. Please read the passage in the preview to get a better understanding of how difficult the reading is and whether or not it is right for your students. The grade level is not included anywhere in the product except on the cover.

    Ninja Note: This product uses Google Slides and recommends Google Classroom as the way to deliver it. If you are new to using these tools, please familiarize yourself with them to avoid any frustrations of working with this product. Students working with slides should be familiar with text boxes (creating and filling them) and dragging shapes on slides.
