What educators are saying

Great resource! Really kept my students engaged. Will definitely look more into your other resources! Thank you!!

Description

This social story with emotive illustrations helps students become aware of how touching and hugging can make other people feel uncomfortable. The story emphasizes the need to respect personal space, and provides appropriate replacement behaviors.

*Note: This story does not promote "asking first", as people can be uncomfortable with being asked if they would like a hug. There are many situations where it would be socially inappropriate to ask someone if they would like a hug. This social story focuses on only hugging/touching people if the other person asks, which is a better model for ensuring socially appropriate behavior.
