Interrupting and Blurting Out

Easy to implement Lesson. Besides promoting essential social skills, the learning material is designed with flexibility as well as to enhance reading comprehension skills. Can be used for lower grades or students in upper grades with moderate learning disabilities.

Objectives: Students will be able to:

· Understand the difference between Interrupting a conversation and blurting out.

· Explain why interrupting and blurting out show poor social skills.

· Describe when it is appropriate to interrupt and how to properly do so.

· Identify strategies to keep oneself from blurting out.
