WHO CAN USE THIS RESOURCE

This Decision Making resource is helpful for all children and especially those who struggle with making good choices. This product can be used by social workers, school counselors, school psychologists, educators, and parents.

HOW TO USE:

This resource can be used one on one, in groups, or as a whole class guidance lesson. You can use the discussion cards to generate discussion about problems kids face at school, home, recess, and online. Students then get to use the decision making process to come up with effective and appropriate solutions to these problems. (Directions are included to help guide you with using the task cards and the discussion cards.)

SAMPLE DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1.Your sister posts an inappropriate picture on Instagram what do you do?

2. Your teacher assigns a group project and your friend who never does any work wants to be in your group. What do you do?

3.You find a wallet on the ground at recess. Your friends tell you to keep it. What do you do?

4.You have been waiting forever for your mom to take you to the mall. At the last minute she says she can’t take you. What do you do?
